My Core Beliefs
I BELIEVE
Plants are powerful tools for positive change. Medicinal plants, leaves, barks, roots, and mushrooms are our health allies. Using them daily makes us happier, healthier, and more resilient to the inevitable challenges of life.
The human body has a deep, intelligent, and innate capacity for self-repair and healing. When provided a strong foundation—high-quality sleep, nutrient-dense whole foods, low-stress environment, and consistent exercise—your body is capable of profound improvements.
The quality, preparation, and formulation of herbal medicines determines your ability to respond to them. Highest quality, professional strength, organically grown, and absorbability are key to the effectiveness of natural remedies.
A great health practitioner must be a voracious learner—a lifelong student of their craft. Continual study is necessary to hone your skills and expertise. Life is too short to stop learning!
My Story
PLANTS + PEOPLE
As long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about natural health and healing and have loved nurturing plants and people. So, as renowned herbalist Christopher Hobbs wonderfully said, “When one puts an interest in health together with a love of plants, the result is herbalism.”
These passions led to me to attend one of the best herbalism schools in the country—earning a Master of Science in Clinical Herbal Medicine from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. In this program, I completed years of extensive research on more than 150 herbs, herb–drug interactions and safety, phytochemistry, anatomy and physiology, clinical theory, energetic assessments, and complex herbal formulation. After which, I opened my private practice in lovely Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.
To be able to spend my life helping people with natural remedies is an absolute privilege—a true gift. Rooted in science and grounded in wholeness, my clinical work honors my life-long calling to help people nurture their personal wellness and deepen their connection to the miraculous world of medicinal plants.

Me, Personally
I'M A REAL PERSON
I’m a real person! I live a simple, satisfied life. My husband, two kids, and I live in a small cabin on a small farm, along a clean river in West Virginia. My passions are herbalism (obviously), gardening, writing, and photography. Our land and the river make my heart smile. I’m a voracious learner and tea drinker. And I do not suffer fools very well, as my husband likes to tell me. He and I love to cook, especially fresh produce from our garden. Much of my time is devoted to homeschooling my wonderful, curious kids and studying the endless knowledge and traditions of herbal medicine.
I am kind and humble. But also impatient and stubborn. I can peel an apple in one long strip. A super-sharp No. 2 pencil is my writing instrument of choice. And I’m endlessly fascinated by the intricacies and vastness of the universe. On the flip side, I loathe spider webs in my face. I can’t stand it when my socks get wet. And I find it unbelievably frustrating to peel hard-boiled eggs that end up in a million pieces.
I share these funny details of my personality only to convey that I am indeed human. I know you are, too.
Keep smiling and trying your best.
And I'll do the same.
